Any Good Reason to Wait?
I see that Citi has raised the signup bonus on all its AAdvantage cards to 50,000 miles for a limited time. Been waiting to hear about whether there will be an EQD waiver for CC spend. I don’t want to pull the trigger on this card right now if they might sweeten the deal with a big EQD waiver announcement early in the year? Any rumors or news?
If they announce the EQD waiver, it should apply to ALL card holders, not just new ones so I dont think you should wait to apply if your main concern is the EQD waiver.
My point is not whether the waiver would apply to all cards but rather if a sweeter deal (more miles, better card benefits, etc) might be available if and when an announcement is made on an EQD waiver……
oh okay. well i think 50k (maybe 60k) is the highest bonus on this card that ive seen. I doubt it will change much. I think in January, Barclays can advertise their AA cards on flights so that may impact it a bit but thats all
@David W: Where can I find info on that Barclay’s AA card? I googled it but nothing came up, not even on Barclay’s website. Sorry Gia for “hijacking” your post 🙂
Barclay’s aaviator cards. Not sure they have anything directly on their website with info since they cannot accept new signups at this time. These were the old US Airways cards that were converted after the merger.
I see. Thanks.
