Announced aircraft change – what can be done?

Announced aircraft change – what can be done?

    Lucky & team,

Great blog and service that you run, essentially my daily read, so keep up the fantastic work!

Now to my question – my wife and I booked Qatar Airways MUC-DOH-CPT with the combo of A350 and 787 in business class (all single seats) in January 2017. Now I learned that QR is changing the aircraft from 787 to 77W with the “old” 2-2-2 business class, which is not a truly comparable product. What do you (or other community members) recommend how to proceed, as we have saver tickets with limited flexibility?

@AJTOAO what mileage currency did you use to book the flights? AA does allow free cancellations based on equipment change but they can’t force you onto a flight where QR does not have saver availability.

Have you tried calling AA and have them call a QR rep to work something out?

Didn’t book with miles, paid in cash directly with QR…

I’d call QR, explain to them the situation and see what they can do for you.
