AMEX UK points for BA US account

AMEX UK points for BA US account

  1. Anonymous Guest

Lucky, I am in love with your blog and all you have done for us.
Used to live in the UK, now in the US. BA Executive Club account is US based. We have 160,000 points on our UK Gold AMEX – they have said we can’t transfer these points to a US based BA Avios account.
What’s the best use of these miles? Is there another airline that would take them or another program that we might join (could be US or UK based) to be able to then transfer these to BA (or put them to a better use)?
    Thanks Dr P.

Dr P, have you actually tried doing a transfer? It might be worth it do a test yourself. Shouldn’t matter where your BA account is registered. Worst case can you change your address back to the UK temporarily and do the transfer?
