Amex Platinum Credit Airline Choice

Amex Platinum Credit Airline Choice

Anyone know if I’m only limited to US airlines for my airline choice with the Amex Plat? Could I call them up and request my airline for 50% points back and credit be for Quantas or Singapore?

I think the 50% points back is only for one selected airline from the list. If it’s not on the list, a call might not get you anywhere. However, there are no airline restrictions if booking first or business class. In either instance, just make sure you are using the Amex travel portal to search and book, paying via the “pay with points” option.

Well I believe the 50% points back (for economy) and the airline credit go hand in hand. So then I cant use my airline credit for Singapore Airlines? Its only restricted to US-based airlines?

Cant use it for SQ unless you’re purchasing a first or business class ticket. I’m not sure if code-shared flights work since jetBlue and Singapore airlines have a code-sharing agreement on a few routes. I doubt it would work though.
