AMEX Platinum Concierge Service
Hi everyone
I was wondering what people’s experience with their Concierge service (specifically when requesting tickets) has been like? I called tonight and requested help securing concert tickets going on sale this weekend as it will be a very popular show I expect to sell out quickly and wanted an extra set of hands helping me. I was told that they would not be able to help since it wasn’t a “AMEX Pre Sale”. Only those can they help with. After I pushed back because, you know they are a Concierge service after all!! – I was told they do not offer to assist with tickets on general onsales ever because they are too short staffed and have to only concerntrate on the AMEX ones.
Personally I’m blown away by this answer from American Express. That’s their problem if they r short staffed, not mine as the high paying annual fee customer. I’ve used other CCs services flawlessly for this before and was just astonished AMEX Platinum – of all of them – was so unhelpful.
Curious if other people have has success or the same roadblock from them?
Thanks all!

I don’t have the Platinum card but it would never occur to me they could help with pre-sale tickets if it’s not an Amex-affiliated pre-sale.
