I’ve received an email flyer with an offer to join American’s AirPass programme with some kind of reduced “entry point” pricing.

I don’t really know anything about AirPass but was just wondering if anyone knows what the real benefits are and whether it is worth it. I’ve been an Executive Platinum member for 5 years already, and I’m not bad at getting decent value for my miles (probably average ~$1500 for my transatlantic business class returns and systemwide upgrade into first). Can AirPass offer any value over what I already get?

If you are already Executive Platinum, I don’t see any added benefit beyond the Admiral’s Club Membership, which is probably cheaper to just get the Citi card, if you don’t have it yet.
