American Airlines B777-200 – new cabin?

American Airlines B777-200 – new cabin?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi!
I am a Danish guy living in China, and together with a friend Iplan to travel from Shanghai (PVG) to LAX during Chinese new year next year. We plan to travel from 25 Feb until 3 Mar (or sometime around that period) and I found extremely low prices on either Business Class and in one routing even with First class on the way back with American Airlines.
The price was between 11.000-14.000 RMB depending on the routing and whether it was business or first. I now came to think that the catch might be that it’s in the old cabin which looks nothing but appealing. Does anybody here know if AA has retrofitted all of their B777-200s?
according to the proposed schedule we will be flying via NRT and then from NRT to LAX on AA170 and back on AA183.

Hope somebody is able to give some advise :-)!

    Thanks.

    Br Niels

I can confirm (barring any last minute equipment changes) that the 777 flying this route has been retrofitted. If you want to check in the future, you can search for space on AA.com with no intention of buying (no account necessary) and if business is 1-2-1, then it has been retrofitted at least to the 772/788 seat and if main cabin extra is 3-4-3 then it is the newest seat

Only about half of the 47 have been retrofitted – 22 new, 25 old configuration (according to American Fleet Site!).
