Alaska Mileage Redemption

Alaska Mileage Redemption

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hello, after your post about Alaska Mileage Plan I am so interested to make Alaska Mileage Plan account and buy the miles. My intention is to purchase the ticket as a gift to my family.
Then I bought the miles into my alaska account and I succeeded to purchase the redemption award ticket for them.
And then couple days a go I got an email from Alaska saying that my account will be blocked and all the award reservation will be canceled.
I don’t understand why it happened because when I made a reservation there’s no warning nor limitation to made a purchase for other traveler and even they provide the section to fill up to 10 companions on Alaska Mileage Plan account.
Do you have any suggestions regarding this matter to make Alaska Airlines granted all of my ticket?

    Thank you

Did you call Alaska and ask why the ticket was canceled? You’re only supposed to be able to buy miles after your Alaska account has been open 10 days, and unless you’re an Alaska elite, the max miles you can buy per calendar year is 150k.
