Air Tahiti Nui flight
Hello there,
I used my Thank You Points to book a one-way AKL-PPT(stopover)-LAX on Air Tahiti Nui. I’m flying there via United miles to SYD then paid $160 for a one way SYD-AKL.
The main trip is NZ with 4 days in Tahiti on the way back to the US. What should I do with miles from that flight since it’s a revenue flight?
According to their website (see below), my options are limited. I have an AA account but that’s not going to work. It’s only 6600 miles so I guess it could be worse…
My question is are which of the programs listed below is the best option to open an account? I have the CitiPrestige so I’d guess Air France?

American Airlines (Accruing AAdvantage Miles – It is no longer possible to accrue AAdvantage Miles when traveling with Air Tahiti Nui. This was effective for any flights that departed on or after October 31, 2009.)

Qantas

Air New Zealand

Air France

Japan Airlines

Korean Airlines

Aircalin

TGVAir

I’d consider AF or Korean. Both can be easily topped with MR/UR.
