I have a business class booking on Air Berlin (TXL – ORD) on December 4, 2017, booked with Avios through Iberia. Should I cancel and try to get the points refunded, wait it out and hope LH bails them out, or start looking/booking an alternative flight?

I’d certainly look for alternatives and if you find something workable, change your reservation. I think having certainty is worth a little bit of effort/expense.
