Good morning,

I am kind of a beginner in the aviation mile rewards programs. I have a question regarding Aaadvantage miles. After i moved to USA 5 years ago I flu IAH to Charlotte and I sign up for a AA credit card. I used it until a few years when I realised that being in Houston, my best shoot would be UA.

On the AAdvantage account I have approx 37k miles. Is there any way I can transfer them to any other airline program? I am also a member on Flying Blue , UA, Miles and More LH or British Executive club.

Or anybody interested in exchanging these points for UA points if this is even possible?

Hi [USER=3230]@Chris P[/USER], the sale or swapping of miles is against the program regs of most carriers. You can transfer them to other people through the carrier but the charge to do so often destroys the value of your miles. Your best bet is to try to redeem them for short routes or for a domestic award. You could also use them to book an award for someone else with the understanding that they would book an award for you when you need it.
