2 questions: First I know that if you buy an AA code on an AY operated flight in O class (deep discount you get .25 miles per mile flown and 0.5 EQMs. However, I am not sure what sort of bonus you would get with AAdvantage Gold (the 40% bonus you get on AA operated flights.) Second, I know that you can get complimentary MCE at check in on AA. However, I do not know if that benefit is also valid for extra legroom Economy on partners.

[USER=2317]@Hugh B[/USER], my understanding is that if you buy an AA codeshare (ticketed by AA), you will earn the 7 miles/$ as Gold. The only reason partner earnings are based on percentages is because AA does not know what you paid another airline. When you ticket through AA, they do know and award miles accordingly. The upside is that you should also get 1EQM per mile. You should also get any AA bonuses.

However, OW Ruby status only comes with priority check in and stand by so I wouldn’t expect any free upgrades unless you happen to get something as an op-up.
