AA Premium Economy Upgrades

AA Premium Economy Upgrades

Can’t figure this one out myself, so wondering if anyone can help. What’s the current priority for waitlist when using American systemwide upgrades?

I am in paid premium economy on a flight to Europe later this year, and wait-listed for systemwide upgrade to business.

Curious where fare class plays into the wait-list priority. For instance, two passengers with the same status: one with $20,000 rolling EQDs, paid for economy… and one with only $12,000 rolling EQDs, paid for premium economy. Who clears into business first? (Hint, I’m the 2nd passenger with really low eqd’s )

    Thanks for any insight!

I have no personal experience with this but I recently read on Flyer Talk AA forum that the order is:
    EQDs
    Booking Code
    Request Date

So it would seem that the passenger of the same status with the higher EQD would trump the Higher Booking Code but I wouldn’t bet the farm on it. I’ll see if I can find that link and post it here. In any event, good luck on your trip.
