AA points for Hawaiian inter island flight
I’m looking to book a flight from DFW-HNL using AA points. On my preferred date of travel there is no first class availability, however there is availability DFW-OGG. I’d like to avoid LAX to stay on the 772 with the better first product, hence switching to OGG.
My question is can I add a Hawaiian inter-island leg OGG-HNL after the AA flight? I confirmed there is space to book on a separate ticket but I’d like one ticket so I can check bags all the way through. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Stuart
Can you book a Hawaiian inter island flight on AA points on the same ticket as an AA flight to Hawaii.
For instance can I book DFW-OGG-HNL with the last leg being Hawaiian? I ask because my preferred date has aa availability on a DFW-OGG flight but not DFW-HNL directly.
Thanks!
Stuart
Welcome @Stuart1985 – you should be able to do that. If you can’t get it to work online, you’ll need to call but make sure they waive any phone-in fees if you aren’t able to do it online.

Thanks I figured it would probably take a call. I’ll report back afterwards.
