AA Overnight Layover Bag Policy

AA Overnight Layover Bag Policy

I am booking a flight on American from Puerto Vallarta to Oklahoma City, overnight in DFW. The flight gets into DFW at 6pm and leaves the next morning at 8:30 AM. I am curious if I will be able to get my checked bag from baggage claim in DFW, and recheck it the next morning to OKC, or if they will not allow me to get it in DFW. Thanks!

You have to get your bags in Dallas even if they were tagged all the way thru Oklahoma City because that’s where your physically entering the US from abroad and the US requires you to get bags and recheck. Shouldnt have a problem bringing your bag back the next morning.
