AA New Business Class

AA New Business Class

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Ben:
I was wondering if you knew if AA new business class seats are available on all 777s? I want to fly from MIA to CDG in January and they fly a 777 but it doesn´t say it is the new or old configuration. Also, how easy (expensive) it is to upgrade (paying on website or at airport) on AA if I buy an economy ticket.
This info is crucial for me to decide if I fly them or Air France.

If the economy cabin is 10 across you have the new seats.

The alternating rows of business class seats won’t have an arrow facing backwards on them

Except the AA seat map when searching, or EF don’t show an arrow indicating the reverse Concept D seats. It’s just an outline of 1x2x1 all appearing to face forward. 10 seats in economy is the only way to identify Super Diamond seats.

I was talking about looking at the seatmap on the AA website

@Hugh B , I’m not looking to pick a fight here, but the AA maps for a 772 don’t distinguish the seat. The Concept D seats that can be rear facing and the Super Diamond seats that are all front facing are shown on the map as front and rear facing.

The only way to tell the difference is the super diamond seats have economy 10W. At least all this explanation comes from what I’ve read from the OMAAT article and others. I’ve not been on a 772 lately to verify first hand. Here are the seat maps from AA.com The one on the left is the 772 with Concept D and the one on the right is the super diamond. Obviously they need to fix this.

If all of this is wrong maybe someone chime in.

Sorry, I was just thinking that AA might have retrofitted some planes in the 289 seat config. before they got the new seats, it was part of their plan all along

No worries, they have so many J cabins I don’t think they know what’s what.
