AA mileage denial – help

AA mileage denial – help

  1. Anonymous Guest

Do you have a contact at AAdvantage? I flew Sri Lankan from CMB to SIN last week and AA has denied my request for mileage. It was a purchased Business Class ticket. Here’s the issue. I gave them my AA number at check in. When I got to the gate a few minutes later, I noticed that on the boarding pass, instead of AA then the number, it said “UL”, followed by my AA account number. It seemed to me that the gate agent didn’t hear me when I said the account was AA. So I asked the gate agent if she could fix it to reflect AA, not UL, as I do not have a UL account. She showed me her screen and it said AA, and it said the boarding pass was simply an error and that my miles would accrue to AA. When I got back to the States, I sent in a mileage request to AA and just received an e-mail telling me my request for mileage was denied as miles were credited to another program. I cannot figure out how to go back to them or who to contact at AA to resolve this situation and explain it. Is there somebody or an address you can reach out to for help? Thank you in advance, Jason Horner

I think you are out of luck as miles are already deposited, to someone else.

I would try reaching out on social media first; Twitter seems to be quite handy sometimes.

    Otherwise, try here:

I second Ricky’s vote for the AA Twitter team. They’re usually really good. However keep in mind that right now they – and all AA customer service folks – are dealing with the winter storm mess in the Northeastern US. Might wait until things calm down weather-wise before approaching them with this.
