AA 777-300ER vs A330
Hi Lucky,
I’m planning a trip back from Europe to the US (day trip) on AA metal, and I was wondering what your thoughts were on American’s business class products: 777-300ER vs A330-300? Which direction would you lean?
Thanks,
Joe
Hello Joe.
Well the the B77W aka 777-300ER is a wider aircraft than the A333 so you should have more space in the B77W when both planes are in a 1-2-1 config.
B77W

A333

But on a day trip the difference would probably be less important. And than there is the fact that J is the highest cabin on A333 which might lead to a more attentive crew plus a small premium cabin all helps.
Ultimately they are both good products and personally I would pick the flight that works best for me time-wise.

the a330s from American are ex-US airways aircraft. Both business class seats on the 777-300ER and A330 on AA are reverse herringbone seats manufactured by Zodiac Aerospace and designed by JPA design. The seat on the 777-300ER though is a much newer and has more features and is more private etc. The 777 is also a wider aircraft than the a330 so the cabin will feel a bit more “spacious”
Hope this helps!
