Anonymous GuestI have a 7 night certificate for a category 6 hotel that I have not redeemed yet. Should I wait til after August 1 to use it? If I wait and certain hotels get their new categories lowered (i.e. a cat 7 going down to cat 6), will that benefit me and will Marriott honor it? What are my options?

Looks like redeeming it by Aug 1 is a better option as Marriott may be canceling the certs and giving members a number of Marriott points instead
