Where to credit American/OneWorld flights?

Where to credit American/OneWorld flights?

What’s the best airline to credit One World economy flights. Especially now that American is revenue based. Finnair seems to credit most american fare classes but I haven’t had time to investigate.

It depends on what fare class your ticket is in. Check out http://www.wheretocredit.com/american-airlines

The info on that page is for people without elite status so if that’s something you have, your values may be different.

Also make sure to check Finnair redemption rates… If you can’t efficiently use any extra miles you get, it might not be worth it.

If you’re flying a fare class and airline that earns with Alaska (AA, BA, CX, JL, QF) I would probably do that. But obviously they don’t partner with every oneworld airline and you won’t earn oneworld status. Otherwise, I would lean toward CX as they have a decent award chart and they partner with Amex MR and Citi Thank You, so you would have a way to top up your account.
