Well ben after reading your blog for about 2 years now and offical achieving the title of 15 years of age (I know quite the achievement) I am finally trying to travel I work a small part time job at a fast food place and I may not have much money but I am willing to do what I have to to just fly I love flying even just the thought of flying coach from ord to dfw and back sounds like tons of fun tbh and after reading many articles I saw you started out when you were 15 so I wanted to know how did you start it how much money do you think I should put into it currently my goal is achive some sort of status on American airlines/AAdvantage and maybe earn enough miles to go on an international flight some where any tips on how to start out with very little money and the willingness to work as hard as possible would help I been trying to figure this whole thing out but with all the airlines changing there points scales constantly I am at a lost right now thx in advance

    Welcome.

Sadly the era when Lucky got started where mileage runs were a good way to earn miles are gone.

From what I have read of it he had a lot of support from his parents money wise since they could use the miles he earned for family holidays to Germany in premium cabins.

These days the best way to earn points are true credit cards that you are to young to get yet, sorry.

If you truly love to fly keep an eye on this forum tread for good deals.
