MIA to CDG in paid business

MIA to CDG in paid business

Question: I am getting ready to purchase tickets in business from an online retailer MIA-CDG. They stated that its an “I” class fare. I am booking in order to forego the “buy-in-Econ-hope-to-get-SWU-to-Business”….. does anyone know of any drawbacks to that class of business fare? Do we still get EQD? (I think the answer is yes) are we able to request SWU to First? (I could call AA and they could tell me)….. wondering if the air-mavens have any input. thanks btw

    Per this chart https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/partner-airlines/american-airlines.jsp
you should get 2 EQM per mile flown and EQDs.

I booked. The “i” fare garners full EQDs and when I called to book, I was forwarded to another agent who immediately confirmed my SWU to First. Very happy.
