Hyatt Credit Card

Hyatt Credit Card

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Lucky:
I know you’ve talked a lot about this in the past but I cannot remember some details regarding Hyatt’s new loyalty program (World of Hyatt). I just received my email today stating that effective March 1st, I will be a “Discoverist” in the World of Hyatt. As is now, I am a Platinum member as a result of having the Hyatt credit card. This is where my questions arise. Is it correct that even with the Hyatt credit card, I am now at the lowest member level (Discoverist) and more importantly, will I continue to receive my annual free night (Cat. 1-4) via my Hyatt credit card?

Thanks in advance for any clarification and I’m sorry if I missed this topic before.

You will still be getting your annual free night, redeemable at any property up to Category 4. That is a perk of having their co-brand credit card and is not changing.

Hyatt Gold Passport had 3 tiers – basic membership, Platinum and Diamond. However, World of Hyatt has 4 tiers – basic membership, Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist. Cardholders wont be the lowest tier, but it’s pretty close. Instead of a 15% points bonus on stays as a Platinum, it’s 10% as a Discoverist. As with being a Platinum member, you will still receive 2pm late checkout upon request, premium internet where available and preferred rooms at checkin
