Flying TPA>BOG, make sense to pay $300 more to fly AA or keep flying with the cheaper JetBlue fares?

Lucky, I travel several times a year to Bogota, Colombia from Tampa, FL to visit family. I am new to the whole points/miles thing, but would it make sense to pay $300 more to fly AA or keep flying with the cheaper JetBlue fares and not earn any significant miles. (I just got approved for the Citi AAdvantage Card and US Airways Mastercard)

    Thanks!

@ David — That’s a toughie. To be honest it’s tough to justify the $300 premium, especially since JetBlue has a really solid product. I’d probably stick to JetBlue, since their points are also quite valuable for redemptions on their own flights.
