Clarification on EQMs
I’m an AA member with no status.
With the changes which have been made over the past few months, I want to make sure that I’m understanding things correctly.
I understand that points are awarded based on price of ticket, so for a member with no status, I earn 5 points for each $1 spent. A trip which is 1000 miles, and costs me $100 will earn me 500 points. I get that part.
What I’m not sure about is how many EQMs I earn? Does a trip which is 1000 miles earn me 1,000 EQMs, or is there some other equation I’m misunderstanding (based on the ticket class, or price, perhaps?)
Thanks!
EQMs are based on miles flown with a booking code bonus. Also in 2017 you can get miles based on dollars spent on airfare.
