BAEC Tier Bonus when crediting to partner?

BAEC Tier Bonus when crediting to partner?

  1. Anonymous

    Hey Lucky,

I’m a BAEC Silver and so I get 100% bonus Avios when flying BA (until of course, everything changes come 4/28). Now if I were to credit the miles for an upcoming flight to Alaska Air, would I still get that bonus (in Alaska miles)? Or would it just be the base miles flown?

    Thanks,
    Arun.

Arun, you always get the miles (and bonus miles) based on your status with the program you’re crediting to. So if you don’t have status with Alaska then you wouldn’t earn your elite status bonus. That being said, you might be able to status match to Alaska, if you’d like.
