Ba tiers + flight

Ba tiers + flight

  1. Anonymous

    Hi lucky,
    First, your DE best..
I’m just booked a paid business class ticket from TLV to Las with British airways.
I’m a blue member and this is my first flight.
Reservations day I will get 560 tier points.
But it say to get to bronze status I will need minimum of 2 flights.
Will the flight and return will count as 4 flights since I have 2 segments each way, or just one?
    Thanks a lot!

My understanding is that each segment will count as a flight so you should be able to hit Bronze and if you can get an extra 40 Tier points, be able to hit silver.

Strictly speaking you will get all the 560 tier points once the R/T flight is completed not before. So your bronze status will not be active before you last segment LHR-TLV, if my math is correct and each segment earns 140 points.
