American airlines changed their boarding process again? I am executive platinum and when I checked in today, it says “Group 2”. Any idea?

What American did in reality was give group numbers to all the priority boarding groups instead of calling them out individually.

Great news. I hope it works! AA Pre-Boarding was very confusing to the mass of people that think they were “Group 1”. As an EXP for the last few years, this chaos at boarding would make me switch from a 77W (way too many people) to a smaller plane even if it stopped in DFW. Happy that now- Group 1 is really Group 5 or so…….
