AA 2017 EQD’s for fare purchased in 2016

AA 2017 EQD’s for fare purchased in 2016

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a very expensive(in my opinion) plane ticket to brazil for the end of december on american airlines. I know i will receive EQMs for 2016 for the 2016 portion of my trip and EQMs for my 2017 portion of the trip. My question is: Will i receive EQDs for 2017 since half of my trip is in february 2017? AA states that EQDs are given when you travel and not when you book, so maybe I will recieve half the EQDs. Does anyone know the answer or is this a question for AA directly? thank you for any help

I think they’ll be split out based on the fare basis, so you’ll receive EQDs for the 2016 flights this year, and for the 2017 flights next year. If you look at your receipt it should tell you the breakdown of the total fare so you can guesstimate the EQDs.
