Where to go in Middle East (UAE, Qatar,..)

Where to go in Middle East (UAE, Qatar,..)

    Hello,

Our family (2 adults/1child, 8 y/o) want to spend a next spring break in the Middle East. We have a preference to spend the time somewhere in the desert (I like to do a camel riding, dune bashing, safari, etc). I’m having a hard time to pick up the country for this vacation. Which is better: UAE (Abu Dhabi or Dubai), Qatar or may be something else? I know Ben likes the Middle East and visited probably all countries in that region.

    What would you recommend?

Abu Dhabi and Dubai are both manageable in the same trip, if you are there for a week, in my opinion. 2 years ago we did 4 days in Dubai and 2 days in Abu Dhabi. They are only an hour or so drive apart. Also took a day trip from Dubai to Oman and cruised the fjords in the Musandam Peninsula, which I highly recommend if you like being on the water and swimming.

    Oman!

Abu Dhabi/Dubai would be fun too, if you also want to do shopping/dining. If it’s truly about beach and desert, I like Oman.
