What is the best way from Venice to New York/Newark
I’m planning on going from Venice to New York City on April 23rd. I’ve been looking at a few options of getting home, mainly Emirates from Milan to New York. But I have also been considering taking a train and spending the night in Rome or Munich, then flying back. I want to have flights be $650 or cheaper, but I don’t really want to fly an ultra low cost carrier like Ryanair or Aeroflot. How should I go?
hi @NickOnLinux. I don’t have a good feel for the Europe-US market but I’m not sure how realistic $650 is for summer travel. Maybe this post will help?

I want to have flights be $650 or cheaper, and i’m fine with connecting but I don’t really want to fly an ultra low cost carrier like Ryanair or Aeroflot. How should I go?
Now that I realize it, i’m going to upgrade my budget to $1000 or cheaper. I also have another way back. I take a train from Venice to Vienna, stop overnight in Vienna, and then fly back the next day. Any other route suggestions?
@NickOnLinux — Welcome! Since your flight isn’t until next year, that sounds like a good amount of time to rack up some miles to use for your trip instead. Have you considered that?
Otherwise, I would poke around on Google Flights and see what is cheapest. Sometimes the routes that are discounted will surprise you.
