Trip to Istanbul with possible stop over
Hi! Me and my mom want to go visit my grandma who has cancer in Istanbul. I have a few questions about the trip. We live in Chicago and want to leave mid-July and go for around 2 weeks. We want to get back before the 28th.
1. How do you think we could get the cheapest possible round trip fair?
2. I think it would be fun to have a layover, only a day or two because we want to spend time with my grandma, somewhere like Greece. How would we go about doing that?
I know this is a lot to ask but if somebody could put together some sort of itinerary that would be really awesome.
Also, any tips on saying safe in Istanbul given the current circumstances?
Thank you!
Are you looking to purchase tickets or find awards?
For paid flights, try Google Flights and their multi-city tool.
For awards, Aeroplan and United both allow stopovers and you might be able to find award space on Turkish Airlines.
I dont think Istanbul is unsafe but as with any place you go to, it’s good to be aware of your surroundings at all times
