Hello, I will be travelling from Houston IAH to Delhi DEL with long Layover in EWR, do I need to re-book my luggage again at EWR or I can book it once from IAH to DEL directly. Thanks for your help.

Welcome @Bharat – If your flights were booked as a single ticket you should be able to do that. If you have a separate ticket IAH-EWR and then another ticket EWR-DEL you’ll have to collect your luggage and re-check it.

When you check your luggage at IAH, just ask to look at the bag tag and if you see DEL on it, it will be checked all the way through.

If you’re on separate itineraries, show the IAH check in agent your second ticket confirmation, they may be able to thru check your bag

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I have booked the single ticket but when I checked with customer care of United Airlines, the agent told me that you have to re-check my baggage again on EWR. I am not sure, I also think that it should be easily book for Delhi directly.
