Was wondering why there are no SYD BNE or MEL to Mexico. The most obvious answer is demand but so many people from Australia visit Mexico so I’d have thought there would be at least a seasonal offering from a carrier like JQ or Aero.
Would love some insight.

I’m not a pilot or a huge expert, but I feel like I consistently read about how Mexico City airport is at a very high altitude, thus restricting a lot of the long haul destinations that can be flown non-stop from Mexico.
This is why Emirates had such a tough time getting flights from Dubai working – they had to plan to stop in Barcelona on the way.
