How do you utilize bots to find low fare tickets?

How do you utilize bots to find low fare tickets?

    Lucky,

First off I would like to say thank you to you and your coworkers as I enjoy your blog and I have been able to take advantage of some incredible fares on Qatar’s business product thanks to your blog.

My question is a bit long so I apologize in advance. I wanted to know how you are able to find out about these low fares that pop up on various airlines. Is it because you are always patrolling the internet waiting for news of these to pop up or is it because you are using search bots that crawl airline websites, constantly checking fare prices?

If the latter is true and you are using bots (I ask as I previously read some of your early content mentioning you have used/built them in the past) what do you do to build them? While I understand an in dpeth explanation would be very time consuming, would you be willing to shed some light on what software you build them in or how you are able to operate/program them?

    Thank you for your time,

    Adam
