How accurate is Expert Flyer?

How accurate is Expert Flyer?

    Hi Lucky,

Quick question. I booked a flight from DFW to HNL. At the time of booking, I wasn’t really paying attention because I didn’t plan on upgrading however, now that a very kind friend of mine gives me a SWU to use, I wanted to upgrade my flight, however, the inventory on Expert Flyer is showing 0 (F, A, P fare bucket). Is this accurate? Could it be that the airlines blocked the seats and will open it closer? This is about a month out, when I booked the flight, it was about 6-7 weeks out. I also looked at flights around that date and they are wide opened.

I also noticed in other instances that sometimes after all booking classes are sold out, they open back up and sell more seats when it’s closer to the departure date – sometimes I see inconsistency.

One more question, If I booked a multi-city ticket or open jaw ticket? how does the SWU work?

    Thank you so much!

    John
