Business/Economy transfer in CDG – Lounge Access?

Business/Economy transfer in CDG – Lounge Access?

    Good Morning All,

I’m looking at flights from the UAE to Toulouse in business class. Despite Emirates tails in Toulouse as far as the eye can see, there are no direct flights!

I’ve done the journey a few times over the last year or so and have flown with Etihad via Frankfurt (a mess), Brussels (pretty good) and Rome (a lot better than I was expecting). The available routes change – I assume this is based on schedules and availability of the shorter flights.

For a trip at the end of May the best option seems to be Etihad/Air France via Paris CDG. There is no business class on the short Air France flight – this isn’t a problem for the flight itself but I will be annoyed if I have to spend 3 hours in the airport without access to a lounge.

Would I get access to the Etihad lounge even though I am arriving? Is this practical given the security/layout at the airport? Alternatively, will I get access at an AF lounge, even though my AF ticket is economy?

I am basically weighing up a very unsociable flight time from Abu Dhabi against 3 hours in CDG. For what it is worth I have loungepass access but no elite status. Thanks for your help!

LOL I think TLS is where A380 deliveries take places, and EK has a TON of those, which is why you see a sea of EK planes there.

I believe EY allows lounge access based on departing flights only. Additionally, CDG only grants you access to the terminal/concourse your flight departs from, so even if you had access to the EY lounge, if your AF flight is in a different concourse, you wouldnt be able to get there. I dont think AF/EY has a particularly strong partnership so I doubt you’d get access to an AF lounge based on your ticket.
