AA Upgrade

After jumping on the AA deal to Milan, I paid for miles+cash upgrade to Business. Would I have any problems crediting this flight to AS? The original fare class is O, the upgraded fare class is C. I know that I’ll only earn miles for the original fare class, which is fine. The low fare coupled with September travel means that I’d earn miles on AA’s revenue based system with no status and I’d rather earn AS miles instead.

Just keep your boarding passes and be prepared to send them in — Alaska’s systems get confused when upgrades happen on AA.
