AA MIA TO MXP
Hi Ben, I’ll be flying AA business class MXP to MIA (I live in Italy) on 04/30, returning on 05/11.
I booked AA (via BA since I’m Executive Gold with them) on the assumption that they’ll be flying the B777 on this route, which they do on the outbound.
However, I can see that the return is on the B767/300: I’m not sure If I had missed that they’d be reversing to the B767 or if It’s a recent decision…? Can You help me understand…
Thank You,
Enrico.
Enrico, it seems to have switched from the 777-200 to the 767-300 in the middle of December.
Are you concerned with flying the 767? In business class, you’ll still have a lie-flat seat with direct aisle access. The only major difference is the lack of built in entertainment… AA will provide you with a Samsung tablet during the flight.

I am surprised to read this. I am flying mid-April to end of April myself. Both of my MIA-MXP and MXP-MIA are on the 777-200ER. The airline did try and change my non-stop return via JFK which I then had to change my return for one of their nonstop days back to MIA.
I just checked ExpertFlyer and the equipment shifts to 767-300 in May.

I’m not concerned about flying the 767, I just like the 777 better!
Plus, AA has advertised the 777 a lot on this route (and on the MXP JFK route) and I’m surprised that they’d shift back to the 767.
