Which credit cards to get to fly to Bora Bora from LAX?

Which credit cards to get to fly to Bora Bora from LAX?

    Hello Lucky,

Regarding which cards to get….. I am planning a trip to Bora Bora in the summer of 2016. We have 270K IHG points and my wife and I are waiting for our 2 free nights to post early next year. So we have the hotel stay pretty much covered.

However we need to get cards to fly to Bora Bora from LAX. Are the Citi AAdvantage cards (Gold, Platinum and Business) the best plan, or are the Citi ThankYou point cards (Preferred, Premier, Prestige) the better route to take?

@ Antonio — You only have two airlines flying to Bora Bora directly from the US-mainland, and that’s Air Tahiti Nui and Air France. American would be the best value, so I’d definitely consider them, in your shoes. Otherwise for the other direction you could redeem Air France FlyingBlue miles which you could get from American Express Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou Preferred, etc.
