Upgrade from Aviator red to silver

Upgrade from Aviator red to silver

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello,

My question is what happens to what you have already spent in the calendar year on the red card when you upgrade to the silver?

For example, I already have 47000 spend on the red card so in theory I could right away qualilfy for the first milestone of 5K EQM.s

I’ve spoken to one rep who told me my card spend would start over from day one when I get the new card and I spoke to a second rep who told me that my card spend would roll into my new card allowing me to qualify for the 5K EQM.s
    Thanks in advance

Not an expert, but I made the leap from Red to Silver and thought that my points went from Red to Silver in a simple transfer….. once I went Silver I was given the upgraded X points due to the expense of the card. Red gets less, Silver gets more- once it goes into effect.
It would seem logical that if you had 40K miles they would transfer to the new level. And, if those points fit into a normal year then it would qualify for that EQM or EQD threshold.

The card number stays the same and the balances all transfer, at least that was the situation back in 2017 when I upgraded to Silver.
