Downgrading Amex Green Card
I have an Amex Platinum Card which I love and I’m definitely going to keep it for the years to come. I also, though, have an Amex Green Card from years ago which I never use, but still has approx 35k membership rewards points on it. I have no reason to pay $95 a year for a card I never use so was hoping to downgrade it to a no annual fee Amex so I keep the points and don’t loose the credit history. Are there any free Amex cards that allow the beneficial use of these membership rewards points including pay with points for airfare and transfer to mileage currencies?
Thanks!
I was eyeing the Amex Everyday, but would love to hear everyone’s suggestions.
Don’t the points combine together anyway? Or is the green card different?
I’d go with the everyday since you don’t want to pay the fee.

I don’t know if they combine. For me, my green card is on a completely different account and I don’t see any way to “combine” the points.
So did you set up separate logins for each card? I think Amex can combine them for you so you only need to log into one account. From that point you should be able to combine them.
