Hi Lucky, was transiting throught Hong Kong airport today and noticed that the normal Plaza Premium lounge near gate 1which is normally accessible by the Priority Pass is now called Plaza Premium First and it requires an additional 200hkd top up to enter. They opened another normal Plaza Premium lounge next to it which you can still enter with your Priority pass without any additional fees. This seems like a downgrade to the PP and wondering Plaza Premium is planning to “enhance” more lounges to “First”. Has anyone experienced the new Plaza Premium First lounges? Is the 200hkd top up worth it?

I dont know if I’d consider this a downgrade – Plaza Premium is a separate company from Priority Pass but they have contracts for access. If the First lounge has upgrade amenities and food, I think it’d be worth the HKD200. All the lounges at HKG seem to be very good.
