I recently signed up for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, to take advantage of the 50k point sign up bonus. I got my wife (we have different last names) a card, under my account also, and we reached the $4k in 3 months.

My wife recently received an offer for the same card with the same sign up bonus. Can she sign up for her own, even though I put her on mine, and take advantage of the bonus? Can we then receive the additional 5k bonus for getting me a card on her account?

If she can, how easy is it to transfer points between accounts?

    Thanks!!!

Your wife shouldnt have any problems getting her own card and adding you as an authorized user for the bonus, assuming she hasnt applied for more than 4 other cards in the last 24 months.

It should be easy to transfer points between the UR accounts
