cancellation due to virus and getting refund or dispute

  1. Anonymous Guest

Dear Ben, I have a group of 19 persons flying on Swiss air Boston to Zurich on August 19 and
due to the Corona Virus situation are very reluctant to travel. Some of the hotels we were using
are closed until 2021. Most of the group are elderly over 70 and would like to cancel and get
a refund. Swiss has said the Boston flight has been cancelled through end of June, however
further cancellations have not been made for August. The tickets were done through a consolidator
that has not answered calls or e mails. Should I put this in dispute with my credit card now or
wait until June? Thanks so much for your help. Joan

Hi Joan, I would certainly wait another month. In the meantime I would try looking up your consolidator on elliott.org to see if you can find contact people there. Be sure to keep your email brief and polite for best results.
