Authorized user miles bonus

Authorized user miles bonus

I want to add my daughter as an authorized user to one of my accounts below (all of which have been open for over a year). Which one — if any — will give me the best miles bonus for adding a user?

    — Chase Sapphire Preferred Card
    — Chase United Mileage Plus Explorer Card
    — Citibank Advantage Master Card

I am also considering opening a new account with the Citi ThankYou Premier card and making her as authorized user on that. But I don’t see any info on miles bonuses in that case. Is there any?

    Thanks!

I dont think Citi gives bonus miles for adding an authorized user – someone correct me if I;m wrong.

For Chase, AU bonus points are usually tied together with opening the card though sometimes you’ll get email offers for bonus points when adding an AU. It’s best to call Chase and find out if there is a promo for you. Usually it’s 5k points. I’d lean more towards the Chase Sapphire since those points are worth more than United miles.
