AMEX Platinum Metal / Chase Sapphire Reserve for UK Residents?
Hey everyone!
I’m new here but come across the site a few times now. 🙂
Was hoping some of you guys & gals here coule help answer two questions I have since I can’t get a yes or a no to either of them, even directly from AMEX or Chase unfortunately.
1. Is it possible to get the Platinum AMEX in metal in the UK?
2. Is it possible to get the chase sapphire reserve in the UK at all? I keep seeing it on UK websites saying it’s one of the best travel cards etc. (Which it is) but I can’t see how I would apply for it if I’m in the UK since I can only find it on the US website.
After the research I’ve done online already I think unfortunately the answer is no to both but worth checking since I’m this place clearly has a wealth of knowledge around these topics.
Thanks in advance and kindest regards!
Alex.
1 – I havent heard about it so I dont think its possible. US based accounts can request a metal card via the customer service portal on amex’s website. If you dont have that option, you can call Amex and ask, though it’s unlikely.
2 – Chase doesnt operate in the UK so you wont be able to get it. You need to have a financial history in the US as well as a US SSN/TIN to apply for the card.

Thanks for your help there David, appreciate your response. I think you’re right, don’t get why certain UK Based magazines, websites etc. recommended the Chase card if you can’t even get it here. Odd.
Thanks anyway! 🙂
