What is the best way to handle booking with AA for CX to Hong Kong in early 2016?

What is the best way to handle booking with AA for CX to Hong Kong in early 2016?

    Hi Lucky,

With the merging of AA and USAir miles, my gf and I have enough miles to go for 1st class seats on CX to Hong Kong in early 2016. I’m wondering the best way to handle the booking with AA. Am I able to call and book for both of us, or do we have to call individually to make our own bookings, or should there be a 3-way between us and the agent? (hopefully we wouldn’t have to HUCA! )

Also is BA the best resource for seeing award seats on CX? I’ve heard they may show phantom space.

@ Kenny — You should be able to book them both over the phone as long as you have all her account info. The JAL tool is technically the most accurate for showing Cathay space, though in a vast majority of cases the BA website will be correct.
