West Coast USA to South Africa Award Flight Options?

West Coast USA to South Africa Award Flight Options?

So, I’m eyeing the Cape Town or Johannesburg to HKG to SFO award redemption for my birthday next year, since it costs no Alaska miles to “add” the flight from South Africa. However, getting to South Africa one-way is looking like an expensive one-way in Economy. For those of you who’ve made this redemption before, which airlines had decent availability in Business Class all the way? I have 80k Chase and 70k Amex points at my disposal, as well as 65k United miles.

I’ve seen plenty through UA, 80k in business, flying ET to ADD then down to JNB. I also flew GRU-JNB on SAA’s A330 last year, when it was still 40k in business. I think it’s slightly higher now, but an interesting possibility if you can get to Brazil cheaply.
