United new multi-city search

United new multi-city search

Every multi-city search returned an error this morning. Looks like search engine is not up to par.

    Shocking! ;p

Ha, what was interesting is forgetting to search for the new free one way, just doing a single one way search might bring up a route A-B-C. But if you tried to build that route in a multi-city search you’d get the first segment then an error.

Bad news starting to make the rounds. United’s multi-city search no longer prices connections as a single fare. To me this was the best way to book an award. You could customize your route with aircraft you liked, connection cities and multiple layovers as long as fell within the routing rules and had availability.

Sadly, Not anymore, Looks like they’ve gone Delta’s way again. Whatever the screen says is all you get. Even routes given as complete itineraries, if you build them in multi-city they price out as segments.
